Oleksandr "Teren" Budko, a war veteran, amputee, and the main star of The Bachelor Season 13, spoke out about his first sexual experience after leg amputation. According to him, at first he did not even think about it, but then he realized that this area of his personal life had not changed much.
"Did I think about it? To be honest, no," the veteran reflected. On Instagram, he said that he had severe pain in his limbs, so sex was out of the question. "Over time, the physical pain began to recede and only phantom pain still remained, but I could sleep only for a few hours," Teren added.
At the time, Oleksandr Budko was in a relationship. He recalled that his girlfriend surrounded him with care and love, and 2-3 months after his injury, the veteran experienced his first arousal.

"In 2-3 months I felt the first physical arousal, but it was not the same as before. Because of my recent surgery, it somehow radiated to the extremities of my legs and caused discomfort. But what will happen during sex? Then my "first" time came. My new look did not bother anyone, I felt it, and so I began to accept myself even more as I had become. For me, it was not just sex, but a step towards returning to life," Oleksandr admitted.
At the same time, he reassured the readers and explained that "almost nothing has changed, except for the positions." However, Oleksandr Budko is not disappointed and notes that sometimes it "enriches the senses."

"I know for sure that everyone perceives themselves differently after being wounded, and I just want to give personal advice: always talk to your partner, don't be afraid to ask questions, and try new things.
