Supermodel Baikova arrives at the Cannes Film Festival wearing a F*ck you Putin T-shirt: she was surrounded by bodyguards. Photos and videos
Ukrainian supermodel Alina Baikova staged an action at the Cannes Film Festival to draw attention to the war in Ukraine. The girl took to the red carpet wearing a T-shirt with the words "F*ck you Putin".
The girl's clothes were in the colours of the Ukrainian flag, and she complemented her look with jewellery. When Baikova tried to take off her coat so that everyone could see her appeal to the Russian dictator, the model was immediately surrounded by security guards (to see photos and video, scroll to the end of the page).
They forced the Ukrainian woman to cover the inscription on her T-shirt, tried to button her outerwear and covered her in every possible way so that other guests could not see what she was wearing.
The guards did not allow Alina to walk freely along the path and pose for the cameras, which is why she had to fully button up her coat several times. Despite this, she did not give up trying to convey her message to the world.
It is known that Baikova staged her performance during the premiere of Ken Loach's film The Old Oak. The security guards' actions are related to the fact that the film festival banned any protests.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, earlier another Ukrainian woman staged a dramatic protest against Russian aggression on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival.
Before the screening of the film Acid by French director Juste Philippe, Ukrainian blogger and fitness trainer Ilona Chernobay came out to the photographers and poured artificial blood, after which she was rudely escorted out.
