Schwarzenegger in a Santa suit spotted in New York: what Iron Arnie looks like after three heart surgeries. Photo

Schwarzenegger shared a photo from the set of a new Christmas movie, where he played Santa Claus.

"The Terminator" star, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was fitted with a pacemaker in the spring after three heart surgeries, seems to be returning to the screen. The celebrity was spotted on the streets of New York in an unusual role – with a white beard and in the image of a modern Santa Claus.

According to Marca, Schwarzenegger got a role in a new family comedy – the Christmas movie "The Man with the Bag." The actor surprised his fans by sharing a photo of himself in a festive outfit on Instagram.

The movie begins with Santa Claus being the victim of a robbery, during which his bag of gifts is stolen. Desperate to save Christmas, he turns to Vance, an old friend and ex-convict. Together with Santa's daughter and a group of elves, they embark on an adventure to recover the lost sack. The film is directed by Adam Shankman, known for his work as a choreographer in comedies such as "Hairspray" (2007), where he shared scenes with John Travolta and Zac Efron.

This isn't Arnold Schwarzenegger's first Christmas project – he made his directorial debut in 1992 with "Christmas in Connecticut." He also starred in the 1996 film "Jingle All the Way," about two parents who compete for a Turbo Man action figure for their children on Christmas Eve.

As a reminder, in March 2024, it became known that the 77-year-old star had a pacemaker installed after three heart surgeries. At the time, Schwarzenegger joked that he had become like his iconic Terminator character. The bodybuilder first went to surgeons in 1997 to have his pulmonary valve replaced. The celebrity underwent similar surgeries in 2018 and 2020.
