The biography of Arnold Schwarzenegger deserves special attention, because this simple guy from an ordinary family managed to achieve world fame already at the age of 20.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's homeland is Austria. Schwarzenegger was born July 30, 1947 in the small village of Thal near the capital of Styria. Arnold's father was a policeman, his mother was a housewife. The family lived very modestly, if not poorly. From an early age Arnold was accustomed to physical labor. Parents paid a lot of attention to upbringing their children, Arnold and his older brother.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's sports career

From an early age Arnold showed an interest in sports - he was fond of soccer. At the age of 14, the future champion's sporting interests changed - he started working out at the gym. His parents were against their son's training and considered bodybuilding a waste of time. But Arnold continued to train and by the age of 17 reached impressive results.

From 1965 to 1966 Arnold served in the army. Despite being very busy, he found time for bodybuilding and in 1965 became the winner of the Mr. Europe contest, which was held among juniors. During his year in the army Arnold significantly built up his muscle mass.

In 1966, Schwarzenegger took second place in the "Mr. Universe" contest, in 1967 he won the contest.

In 1966, Arnold moved to Munich, where he began working at the gym. Until 1968, the athlete collected all possible European awards and became the winner of all competitions. These successes inspired Arnold, and in 1968 he went to conquer America. After several years of training, in 1973 Arnold Schwarzenegger won the Mr. Olympia contest held in New York City. This victory brought Arnold world fame.

The success of the young athlete grew every year. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a seven-time Mr. Olympia contest champion. His anthropometric and strength figures are the goal of most modern athletes. With a height of 188 cm, the bodybuilder weighed 104 kilograms, his chest volume was 145 cm and his waist was 86 cm.

Arnold Schwarzenegger left big sports in 1980 and created a special sports school of bodybuilding for young people. Also, the world champion wrote "The Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding," which is a desk book for many athletes.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's acting career

Arnold Schwarzenegger dreamed of an acting career and first appeared on the big screen in 1970 in "Hercules in New York." The first few films did not bring much fame to the young actor. Considerable success came after the main role in the movie "Conan the Barbarian," which came out in 1982. After this picture, Arnold's acting career went up. Arnold Schwarzenegger's best films were "Predator", "Terminator", "Gemini", "The Sixth Day", "End of the World", "Junior", "Running Man", "Remember Everything".

Over the years of his acting career, Arnold Schwarzenegger has won record royalties and many awards.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's political career

In 2003, Schwarzenegger was elected governor of the state of California, and in 2006, he was re-elected for a second term. Because of his acting career, Schwarzenegger earned the nickname "The Running Man" in politics. The former bodybuilder's political activities forced him to give up acting roles. According to the U.S. Constitution, a governor cannot be re-elected for a third term, so Arnold Schwarzenegger left his gubernatorial post on January 3, 2011.
