The first part of the American science fiction film Terminator was released back in 1984. The unusual idea of the legendary director James Cameron captivated millions. The second part of the film was released on the big screens in 1991 and became no less popular. By the way, Arnold Schwarzenegger's phrase "I'll be back" became one of the most famous film quotes.

Over the past 38 years, the actors in this beloved masterpiece have changed a lot. Unfortunately, some of them have long since passed away. OBOZREVATEL will show you what Sarah and John Connor, Kyle Reese, the T-800 and T-1000 Terminators look like now (to see the photos, scroll to the end of the page).

Terminator T-800 - Arnold Schwarzenegger

In the first part of the action film, Schwarzenegger was 37 years old, and in the second - 44. The career of the popular actor did not depend on The Terminator at all, as he was already a star long before filming the film. However, it was the role of the iron cyborg that became his calling card. Arnold decided to combine cinema with politics and became the governor of California. But after two terms in office, his return to the set cannot be called triumphant, as many films with his participation failed at the box office. The actor is now 75 years old.

Sarah Connor - Linda Hamilton

Nobody knew Linda before the first Terminator. It was James Cameron who gave the attractive actress her fame. The second part of the action film made the girl a real star. After it, Hamilton began to be invited to television and other successful projects. At the time of filming, the celebrity was 28 years old, now she is 66.

Kyle Reese as Michael Biehn

In the first Terminator, actor Michael Biehn played a soldier from the future who was sent by John Connor (Sarah's son) to protect his mother in 1984. The couple fell in love with each other and became the parents of the leader of the resistance to the machine uprising. The celebrity, who was the same age as Linda at the time of filming, failed to build a successful career in cinema. He has about 100 films to his credit, but he appeared only in cameo roles.

John Connor - Edward Furlong

Edward Furlong appeared in the second film as a 13-year-old teenager and played the future resistance leader John Connor. For his debut work, the star received a Saturn Award and an MTV Movie Award in the category of "Major Discovery of the Year". Later on, Edward's career went downhill due to problems with alcohol, drugs and the law - the man was detained for driving without a driver's licence. It is rumoured that this is the reason why Furlong was not cast as the matured John Connor in Terminator 3. According to other reports, he demanded a huge fee. The actor is currently 45 years old.

Terminator T-1000 - Robert Patrick

In 1990, Patrick was cast as the T-1000 robot in the second part of the film. James Cameron stressed that he chose the actor for this role because of his appearance. This work became successful for Robert. In total, the 64-year-old actor has appeared in films about 140 times in his career.
