The 76-year-old actor and politician Arnold Schwarzenegger shared a photo of him with a pacemaker that was installed last week. Prior to that, the celebrity had undergone three open-heart surgeries due to a congenital defect: a bicuspid aortic valve (BAV).
According to his Instagram post, the recovery after the implantation of the device is going well, and Schwarzenegger himself is in a good mood. In the photo, you can see the pacemaker connected to the star's heart under his unbuttoned jacket, as well as the cord going to the inside of his ear.
Expressing his gratitude for the fans' support, he captioned the photo, "Thank you! I have received so many kind messages from all over the world." Arnold assured his fans that the battery-powered device used to regulate irregular heart rhythms will not interfere with his filming of the new season of Netflix's FUBAR. Schwarzenegger will return to the set in April.
