Elizabeth II's daughter, Princess Anne, has spoken about her mother's fears before her death. The former Queen of the United Kingdom was worried that her funeral would be extremely difficult to organize when she passed away at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
The royal family convinced Elizabeth II that she should do what she thought was right. This was reported by the Daily Mail. After saying goodbye to her mother, Anne felt "strangely relieved," as described in a BBC documentary about the year of King Charles's reign.

In a touching piece, Anne talks about her mother's death and how she felt when she saw the royal crown being removed from the monarch's coffin for the last time at St. George's Chapel in Windsor. "I was strangely relieved that it was over," she said, "That responsibility is now passed on to others."
Princess Anne has always been close to her mother.
The Princess, who was always extremely close to the late Queen, added, "I think there was a moment when she felt it would have been harder if she had died in Balmoral." In particular, Elizabeth II was worried about her son Charles, who later ascended to the throne.
The Queen was also afraid of how this would affect Charles.
