Olena Zelenska appeared in the USA and Canada in a luxurious embroidered shirt: where to buy it and how much it costs
During her official visit to the United States and Canada, Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenska wore an embroidered shirt from Etnodim and the Ivan Honchar Museum, a national center of folk culture. In this outfit, she addressed students at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
According to ELLE, the embroidered shirt was created on the basis of fragments of embroidered shirts that cannot be restored. They date back to the 18th and 19th centuries and are kept in the Honchar Museum.
The Poltavska shirt has ribbons down the back that can be tied into an elegant bow. Embroidered in white on white, it combines transparent and opaque stitches, which is typical of the Poltava region. The embroidered shirt has a wide sleeve, entirely sewn with diamond grid ornaments, and framed with openwork elements.
The floral motif that crowns the tree echoes the star motif embroidered on the busts, creating a perfect and coherent composition.
You can buy this embroidered shirt on the Etnodim website. The shirt costs 10,280 UAH (276,96 $).
After visiting the oldest Catholic institution of higher learning in America, the First Lady and the President of Ukraine arrived in neighboring Canada. There, they were met by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
