MARUV, who became a corporate singer, came up with a cynical reason not to perform in Ukraine
Singer MARUV, who moved from Ukraine during the full-scale invasion and was spotted at corporate events abroad, has found a cynical reason not to return home with concerts. The traitor, who earns her living from private gigs, said she was ready to trade large venues for private performances for good money.
She recorded a short video that she posted on the social network TikTok. For some time, MARUV disappeared from the public space after the birth of her child and remained silent about the war, but now she has decided to respond to the hate against her regarding Ukraine.
In the comments, one of the users wrote that the traitor exchanged worldwide fame for concerts that gather less than two thousand spectators. It is noteworthy that after participating in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, MARUV was active in Ukraine for some time. Before the full-scale war, she used to gather audiences of thousands, but with her move to Russia, everything changed.
"It's great to perform for more than two thousand people," the singer said, "but it's also good to sing for one person who pays well.
The comments were not long in coming. Ukrainians expressed bewilderment as to why traitors go to Russia to earn money:
- "I still can't understand why they are so eager to go there."
- "Some people are better off not opening their mouths."
- "Don't embarrass yourself".
- "I wish you to become a no-name".
