On Thursday, 24 August, Ukrainians celebrate the 32nd anniversary of Ukraine's declaration of independence with a series of official events in Kyiv. On this special day, the first lady of our country wore a special embroidered shirt. It was created exclusively for Olena Zelenska by the designers of the world-famous Ukrainian brand Gunia Project.
The embroidery on the President's wife's luxurious white shirt is handmade. It was created by embroidery artist Ruslan Panchuk. Zelenska posted the photos on her Telegram channel.
Thus, the first lady is wearing a snow-white shirt with pastel yellow and blue patterns that almost merge with the light base. If you look closely, you can see flowers, birds, and angels on the embroidery. All these are ancient ornaments from the towels of Sumy region.

In the centre is an embroidered Ukrainian trident. Interestingly, the same national symbol in the heart area can be seen on Volodymyr Zelenskyy's embroidered shirt on Independence Day.

Dozens of different techniques were used to create the embroidery, which makes it even more valuable.
The first lady's shirt is also fascinating for its style, namely the puffed episcopal sleeves. You can also see a wide collar, which is rarely seen on women's embroidered shirts. It, like the cuffs, is decorated with citadels.

Zelenska styled the Ukrainian national costume with dark palazzo pants by Ukrainian designer Artem Klymchuk. Blue pumps are visible under the wide trousers. The outfit was completed with a pearl necklace and gold cross earrings from the same brand Gunia Project.
