Larysa Dolina, who supports Putin and the war in her native Ukraine, was cheated out of 110 million rubles: what is known and why Russia started talking about the "Ukrainian trace"

Larysa Dolina was cheated out of 110 million rubles

Larysa Dolina, a pro-Putin singer who was born in Azerbaijan but grew up in her Ukrainian parents' hometown of Odesa since she was 3 years old, has become a victim of fraud. She was swindled out of an apartment worth 110 million rubles (50 million hryvnias), and the fraudsters were allegedly Ukrainians.

The Russian media panicked about the Putinist's fate. Many journalists approached Dolina for comment, but she only filmed a video message and told everyone that she would not comment on anything else.

How the scandal began

In the morning, the Russian media reported that a group of 5 people had arrived at the territory of the elite residential complex where Dolina's 5-room apartment was located. They told the security guards that they were the new owners of the property and tried to get into the apartment. They were asked on what basis they decided to enter the territory of the residential complex, and the security guards were allegedly shown a foreign passport filled out in English.

According to Russian media, the artist was not at home at the time.

The fraud scheme

It turned out that the apartment was allegedly sold at an auction on June 24 for 112 million rubles, although the media reported this information ranged from 110 to 180 million rubles. It was also joined by the Putinist's dacha, which was "pawned" and she allegedly received 50 million rubles (22.6 million hryvnias).

The woman reportedly personally agreed to the sale of the real estate and voluntarily transferred the money to them in a carefully planned fraudulent scheme. Rosmedia also claims that potential buyers may have suffered similarly from the fraudsters.

The head of the residential complex later allegedly claimed that the apartment remained Dolina's property, even though it had been arrested on August 3. However, the criminals face up to two years in prison if they are caught and detained.

The fraudsters allegedly followed a classic scheme with a call from the bank. The singer was supposed to receive a call from the "special services" stating that the property was being sold by fraudsters, so she had to re-register it immediately because the money would be transferred to extremists. The transaction would be fictitious, and the apartment would be left to the former owner, i.e. Dolina herself.

As you can see, the new owner (according to the documents) has the right to do anything with the property. And in the case of the Putinist, he can sell it to other people.

Russian propagandists have already found the alleged new owner of Dolina's apartment. She is a 34-year-old single mother named Polina.

What is known about Dolina's apartment

Dolina's five-room apartment is located in the Khamovniki district of Moscow in an upscale residential complex. According to the Russian media, its area is 236 square meters. Its approximate cost is about 150 million rubles (68 million hryvnias).

How Larysa Dolina reacted

After the public outcry about the situation, Larysa Dolina's InstaStories allegedly included her confession that she sold the property to repent to Ukrainians and donate the money to the Azov brigade.

"All the news you have seen about loans secured by my property is true. I sold an apartment in the center of Moscow at 3 Kseninsky Lane for 112 million rubles, and I also mortgaged my dacha and received 50 million, all in order to sponsor the Azov battalion [brigade], which systematically fights against the bloody Putin regime. I had to do it because I can't stand it anymore. I have been silent since the beginning of the 'SVO' (actually a fratricidal war), but I can't be silent anymore. I want to rehabilitate myself before Ukraine and live the rest of my life in my homeland in Ukrainian Odesa," she said in a statement.

She posted the text on the background of a picture in the shape of a yellow and blue heart with the inscription Free Ukraine. After this InstaStory, a link to the "Come Back Alive" charity fundraiser and a request appeared on the page: "I urge you to donate".

In particular, the page's bio read: "I love Ukraine. Putin is a f*ck" and an emoji of the Ukrainian flag. Soon after, all provocative posts were deleted, and Larysa Dolina herself claimed that her account had been hacked.

Larysa Dolina's video message

Around 3 p.m., the singer posted a video message in which she read the text from a piece of paper. According to the Russian media, the woman was in her apartment, which unknown people tried to break into a few hours ago.

Dolina made almost no comment but only said that she had contacted the police, the apartment was seized, and the scammers were allegedly people from Ukraine.

"I became a victim of fraudsters. Very delicate and planned fraudulent actions were committed against me. A criminal case has been opened over this fact. I was recognized as a victim and my apartment was seized. The preliminary investigation has established that the fraudsters are in Ukraine. And they have just posted on social media a message of a horrific nature, allegedly from me, in which there is not a single word of truth," she said.

The singer's property abroad is also in danger

Following Dolina's statement, the Russian media reported that unknown people were actively interested in Putin's real estate abroad and expressed a desire to purchase one of two luxury apartments in Jurmala, Latvia. In this city, the woman allegedly has assets worth more than 95 million rubles (43 million hryvnias).

Interestingly, the traitor cannot get to Latvia because of the European Union's sanctions. Therefore, all her assets worth more than 95 million rubles are "up in the air".

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that Larysa Dolina tried to curry favor with the Kremlin and became a laughingstock. The artist paraded in a tight jumpsuit at the Moscow Fashion Week, dragging a cloak in the colors of the Russian flag.
