For the first time, the wife of the President of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, spoke about the tragic experience that her daughter Oleksandra's boyfriend had to go through. The boyfriend is from Mariupol, and he witnessed the full-scale Russian invasion in the long-suffering city.

The name and face of the first love of the daughter of the President of Ukraine are kept secret, so Ukrainians know very little about him. Olena Zelenska revealed a few more details in an interview with journalist Piers Morgan.

When it came to the documentary 20 Days in Mariupol, which will compete for an Oscar this year among the world's best films, the first lady recalled a conversation with Oleksandra.

"My daughter watched this movie with her friend in the theater. Her boyfriend is from Mariupol. He and his parents were hiding in the basement of a house for several weeks before they managed to leave. And he saw with his own eyes how his neighbors were killed," the Ukrainian woman said.

Olena Zelenska asked the 19-year-old student how she had stood it, and Oleksandra admitted that she had been crying.

"He was crying too. And other people in the theater were crying. On the one hand, it's very hard, but on the other hand, sometimes we need to let out all the emotions we accumulate every day, we need to cry. I am very grateful to the people who created these documentaries," the first lady added.

As you know, Oleksandra Zelenska's mother told about her boyfriend three months ago. She refrained from giving any details, only noting that he was her daughter's first love. By the way, Oleksandra's romantic hobby has become a stressful experience for her parents.
