Zakharova called Moldova an "appendage of the Kyiv regime": Chisinau put Maria in her place

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has made another scathing statement against Moldova. Zakharova called Moldova "a logistical appendage of the Kyiv regime" after Moldova deported 45 Russian diplomats suspected of spying activities. A statement was posted on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The rudeness of the Russian representative did not go unanswered. The Moldovan Foreign Ministry assured that they will continue to support Ukraine and condemned the "false statements" of the representative of the state-aggressors, NewsMaker writes.
A boorish statement against the Moldovan authorities appeared on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on August 25. After the recent deportation of 45 Russian diplomats from Chisinau as a result of the scandal with the installation of suspicious communication equipment on the roof of the Russian Embassy, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry "diplomatically" called Moldova (Russians continue to call the country "Moldavia" because of their imperial worldview) a "logistical appendage of the Kyiv regime."
"We notice the consistent transformation of Moldavia into a logistical appendage of the Kyiv regime. Immediately after the start of the special military operation, Chisinau began large-scale deliveries to Ukraine of various goods, including fuel, lubricants, medicines and food," Zakharova issued.
She also mentioned Moldova's "provocative pumping" of Western weapons, including "equipment for demining, small arms, sniper rifles and machine guns, various types of grenades, as well as technical means of reconnaissance."
According to Zakharova, "the issue" of placing "American warehouses with weapons in Moldova, which, according to Moldovan analysts, can later be sent for the needs of the AFU," is now being "developed".
"I would like to warn official Chisinau against deeper involvement in the process of 'support' for Ukraine, which will not only jeopardize stability and security in the region but will also turn Moldova into an accomplice of the Kyiv regime's war crimes," Zakharova issued a portion of poorly disguised threats against Chisinau.
It didn't took long for the Moldovan Foreign Ministry to respond. They rebuked Zakharova's lying and reiterated their unwavering support for Ukraine.
"We condemn the false statements made by a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Our country's neutrality does not mean isolation. The government develops partnerships with organizations and states to preserve the country's peace and security. In this sense, Moldova cooperates with those who promote democratic values. We have strongly condemned Russia's aggression against Ukraine since the first day of the war. We will continue to provide our Ukrainian friends with all possible assistance both bilaterally and within international organizations," the Foreign Ministry said.
Earlier, the Moldovan Foreign Minister thanked Ukrainians for their heroic resistance to the Russian Federation. Nicu Popescu said that the titanic efforts of the Ukrainian army and all the people to fight the aggressor "allow other countries to achieve the intended goal without hostilities on their territory". According to him, Moldova, which is also protected by the AFU from possible aggression of the Russian Federation, has managed to fulfill three recommendations of the European Union out of nine, the fulfillment of which is necessary for membership in the EU.
Moldovan President Maia Sandu recently said that Ukraine's victory would help resolve the conflict in Transnistria.
