Trump says he hates singer Taylor Swift, who endorsed Harris in the election
US presidential candidate Donald Trump has spoken out harshly against pop star Taylor Swift, who previously endorsed his rival Kamala Harris. The politician said he hates the singer.
This was reported by CNBC. It is noted that the corresponding entry appeared on the Truth Social website, owned by the Trump Media & Technology Group.
"I hate Taylor Swift!" the presidential candidate said.
After the debate between Trump and Harris, the singer posted on social media in support of the Democratic candidate.
"I'm voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for rights and because I think we need a warrior to defend them. I believe she is a strong, talented leader, and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm, not chaos," the singer wrote.
According to the newspaper, Trump had previously distributed fake images generated by artificial intelligence on social media, in which Swift and her supporters supported him. Swift cited these images as the reason she made her support public.
It is unclear what impact celebrity endorsements, even those as popular as Swift's, will have on the presidential race. About a day after she endorsed Harris, her post drove more than 300,000 visitors to Vote.gov, a government website that directs users to state-specific voting information.
