"There are signals from various intelligence agencies": Zelensky says weapons elements from China are entering Russian market
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has information that elements of weapons from China are entering the Russian market. Similar information comes from the intelligence agencies of partner countries.
This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, as quoted by the We Are Ukraine TV channel. In addition, components made in other countries are also found in Russian weapons, the head of state emphasized.
"Today, there are signals from various intelligence agencies, including Ukrainian, that something is somehow entering the Russian market through China. I would be very consistent here. There are indeed some elements that are part of the Russian arsenal that are elements of one or another weapon that come from China," Zelensky said.
The President added that the matter is not limited to Chinese elements: Russia still uses components made in other countries to produce weapons.
However, Zelensky warned against drawing a conclusion that these countries are specifically selling weapons to Russia.
As reported earlier, while in Singapore, where the Shangri-La Dialogue Asian Security Forum is taking place, Zelensky criticized Beijing's position on the Peace Summit in Switzerland. China, according to the Ukrainian president, has become a tool in the hands of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, helping Moscow to disrupt the event.
