In Warsaw, Poland, Ukrainians and Poles came together to protest the blockade of the Ukrainian-Polish border. The demonstration, titled "The border is a lifeline," took place near the Polish government building.

At least a hundred activists took part in the action. "What is happening now is the tyranny of the minority," Radio Liberty quoted a Polish protester as saying.

"The majority wants normal, friendly relations between Poland and Ukraine. The majority is against this blockade, which destroys our economy and our entrepreneurs and helps Putin," the activist clarified his opinion.

Participants held placards with the words "Free border", "Help Ukraine Today - Keep Russia Away", chanting "No to Russian propaganda."

"We have nothing against protests because this is democracy. But we are against this particular form of protest. Because of the border blockade, our relations with Poland have deteriorated, and this is due to the influence of the Russian Federation, this is Russia's propaganda," Kateryna Cheliadina, one of the organizers of the protest, said.

Its Polish co-organizer Karol Karpinski added that at least one million jobs in Poland depend on trade with Ukraine. But now this trade is "stalled" because of the border blockade.

As reported, Poles have also organized a blockade of the border with Slovakia. The border crossings were closed to prevent grain from Ukraine from entering their country.

The blockade of the border by Polish farmers looks unreasonable and chaotic, and the actions of the protesters are impossible to predict. They could organize protests on the border of any other neighboring country at any moment. The only rational reason for the blockade could be political PR ahead of the local elections in Poland and the upcoming EU parliamentary elections.
