Israel has been hit from Yemen: what's going on

On October 31, missiles and drones were launched from the territory of Yemen at Israel. This, according to representatives of the Yemeni Houthi group, is the beginning of a "military operation against Israel in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their militant resistance."

This statement was made by Houthi representative Yahya Sariye Anu. He emphasized that attacks on Israel will continue until it stops the operation in the Gaza Strip.

On October 31, Yemen's Houthis announced a "military operation" against Israel "in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their militant resistance."

They accused Israel and the United States of "brutal aggression" against the Gaza Strip, hinting that some Arab countries allegedly colluded with them.

"For the twenty-fifth day, the world has been watching what is happening in occupied Palestine and what the Gaza Strip is being subjected to in the face of brutal Israeli-American aggression, where daily massacres, genocide, total destruction, and a suffocating siege are taking place. All of this is happening in full view of the world and with unlimited support from the United States and the West... because of the weakness of the official Arab system and the collusion of some with the Israeli enemy," said Sariyeh Anou.

He explained the decision to attack Israel as a "sense of religious and moral responsibility" and the alleged demand of the Yemeni population.

"Given all this, the Arab and Islamic peoples had to have their say. And that Gaza, its children and women will win. Out of a sense of religious, moral, humanitarian and national responsibility, as well as in response to the demands of our Yemeni people and the demands of free nations, and to provide assistance to our oppressed people in Gaza, the Yemeni armed forces had to fulfill their duty, relying on God and on the victory over the historical oppression of the dear Palestinian people," the statement said.

A spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces said that Israel was attacked by ballistic and cruise missiles and drones launched from the country.

"With the help of God, our armed forces launched a large number of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as a large number of drones at various targets of the Israeli enemy in the occupied territories. We will continue to launch more attacks using rockets and drones until the Israeli aggression stops," the statement said.

At the same time, Yemen recognizes that this is the third strike on Israeli territory after a large-scale Hamas attack on the country's southern settlements.

The Houthis cannot send their fighters to support Hamas because Saudi Arabia is located between Yemen and Israel, and the distance between the extreme points of the Israeli and Yemeni borders is more than 2,000 kilometers in a straight line.

"We are ready to do everything within our sacred duty to protect Palestine. If we were next to Palestine, we would go with hundreds of thousands of Yemenis to fight alongside the Palestinian people. We are ready to do so, but we need a way to get to Palestine," the Houthis said in a statement.
