The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed that militants of the Hamas terrorist organization have penetrated deep into the country. Currently, the militants control 7 Israeli communities.

Fighting continues along the Israeli-Palestinian border. The Israeli Defense Forces says it is deploying additional forces to the conflict zone. According to the IDF, Palestinian terrorists have penetrated to a depth of 20 km in some places.
The militants were spotted near the towns of Ofakim, Sderot, Erez, Kerem Shalom and other settlements. It is also known that the terrorists are taking civilians hostage and organizing public executions.
