IDF claims elimination of the Hamas air forces head Issam Abu Rukbeh. Video
The Israeli Defense Forces continue to destroy the leadership of the Hamas terrorist organization. As a result of an accurate air strike in the Gaza Strip, the leader of the Hamas air group, Issam Abu Rukbeh, was killed.
The terrorist was responsible for the management of unmanned aerial vehicles, paragliders, and air defense systems. This was reported by The Times of Israel (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).
Israeli military aircraft struck the terrorist on the night of October 28. IDF officials said that Abu Rukbeh was responsible for managing Hamas's drones, airborne detection, and air defense systems.
The Israeli military also noted that Abu Rukbeh played a role in the planning and execution of the October 7 Hamas attack. The militant led the terrorists who infiltrated southern Israel on paragliders, as well as drone attacks on Israeli Defense Forces observation posts.
It is worth noting that about two weeks ago, the IDF killed the previous head of the Hamas Air Force, Murad Abu Murad. This terrorist was also killed in an air strike.
As a reminder, the IDF announced the expansion of ground operations in the Gaza Strip, and the US suggested that the intensification could be the beginning of a ground operation by the Israeli army.
Earlier, it was reported that the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on an "immediate ceasefire" in the Gaza Strip. Ukraine abstained from voting.
