On October 7, Hamas militants murdered an elderly Israeli woman in her home in Kibbutz Niz Or near the Gaza Strip. They filmed the woman's body lying on the floor of the house in a pool of blood on her phone and posted it on the Israeli woman's Facebook page.

On the social network, the girl wrote that she learned about her grandmother's death early in the morning when she and her mother went to her grandmother's Facebook page after receiving a call from her aunt.
"My grandmother, my whole world, the light of my life, a resident of Kibbutz Nir Oz, was killed yesterday by a terrorist in her home. At 7 am I saw the nightmare of my life. A terrorist came to her home, killed her, took her phone, filmed the horror and posted it on her Facebook page. That's how we found out. The purest thing in the world, the light of my life, my whole world is my grandmother. I can't believe this is real," the granddaughter wrote.
According to the girl, in the gruesome footage shot by the killer, her grandmother is lying on the floor of her own home in a pool of blood.
Mor Bauder writes that her grandmother was very kind and took care of the community members.
"Every morning she would ride her bicycle to the commune to wash and fold clothes for all the kibbutz members, and in the afternoon she would return to take care of the garden, which she loved more than anything else in the world. My grandmother loved life, but how will we live without you? Who am I without you? My unwillingness to speak of you in the past tense is my horror," the grieving Israeli woman writes.
