On the evening of November 29, large-scale protests against the government's decision to suspend negotiations on joining the European Union resumed in Georgia. However, within a few hours, security forces violently dispersed the rally, using tear gas, water cannons, and other special equipment against people.

As a result of the clashes, security forces managed to disperse the protest on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi. This was reported by BBC.

Police officers detained a number of protesters, using water cannons and tear gas. Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that 107 people were detained during the dispersal of the protest in the center of Tbilisi.

After the rally was dispersed in the center of the Georgian capital, communal workers dismantled the barricades, with local authorities announcing the resumption of traffic on Rustaveli Avenue.

It is worth noting that people came out on the streets with the flags of Georgia, Ukraine and the EU. The protesters also held photos of journalists who had been beaten by the police the day before. The security forces, in turn, deployed a huge number of personnel to the center of Tbilisi and used special equipment against the protesters en masse.
