Zelensky ordered an increase in military salaries to 200,000 hryvnias per month, - MP Misyagin

Zelensky ordered to increase the salaries of the military

On February 21, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with the "Servant of the People" party faction in the Verkhovna Rada. Among other things, the head of state ordered an increase in the salaries of the military to UAH 200,000 per month.

MP Yuriy Mysyagin wrote about this on his Telegram channel. According to him, the increase is necessary for those soldiers "who have been on the front line for two years."

The head of the Servant faction, David Arakhamia, said that at the meeting with the president, "we talked about the most important things for our Victory - the front, the economy, the help of partners, and the preservation of unity in society." Accordingly, Zelensky gave tasks to the parliament and MPs. "There is a lot of work to do. But since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Parliament has shown its ability to cope with the most difficult tasks. We will keep this pace until Victory," the MP added.

In Ukraine, the amount of remuneration for military personnel has not been changed since February. However, some changes in salaries took place several months ago. The amount of military salaries depends primarily on the tasks they perform and their deployment - read more about this here.

As OBOZ.UA reported, in 2024, one of the main tasks is to protect the sky and our frontline positions from Russian air and missile strikes. Zelensky mentioned this in an address to citizens on the evening of February 21.
