"You will see the answer on Russian territory": Budanov on the poisoning of his wife

Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov commented on the poisoning of his wife Marianna, the fact of which became known in late November. According to the lieutenant general, he knows who was involved.

The DIU chief said this in an interview with the French newspaper Libération. When asked if he knew who was responsible for the poisoning, the DIU chief said, "Of course I know!"

Budanov noted that in the near future, everyone will be able to see the actions in response to the poisoning of his wife and that they will take place on the territory of Russia.

"I think that in the near future you will see retaliatory actions on Russian territory, and everyone will understand this," he said.

Budanov said that he did not use the poison himself, so it is difficult for him to say whether the poisoning of Marianna Budanova was an attempt to take his life. The DIU head added that he had already survived many assassination attempts and would probably survive many more.
