Brief biography
Marianna Budanova was born on August 3, 1993 in the village of Stavishche (Kiev region).
Very little is known about her personal life.
In 2020 she ran for the Kyiv City Council from the UDAR party, but failed to win the election. At the time of running, she was non-partisan and unemployed.
In 2021, she was an advisor to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko on combating corruption in the sphere of youth policy and sports. She performed her work on a voluntary basis.
Poisoning
On November 28, 2023 it became known about a probable attempt on Marianna's life. The media, citing sources, reported about poisoning with heavy metals. In addition to her, symptoms of poisoning were detected in a number of employees of the Defense Ministry GUR.
Family
Married to the head of the Defense Ministry's GUR Kirill Budanov. After the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation for the first time gave a big interview, in which she spoke about her personal life and her activities during the war.
