Russian invaders are storming the Zaporizhzhia sector of the frontline on motorcycles and ATVs. They are attacking in waves of several people, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces detect them in advance and destroy them.

This was stated by Ihor Shafigulin, section chief of the 1st Battalion of the 3rd Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, on Suspilne TV channel. According to him, over the past week, the enemy tried several times to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders with small groups of occupants numbering up to ten people.

"There were also attempts to conduct assault operations on motorcycles and ATVs, but they were unsuccessful. They were detected in advance and destroyed by our forces, artillery, drops and FPV drones," said the National Guard.

Ihor Shafigulin added that the occupiers usually use the following tactics in Zaporizhzhia: first they accumulate manpower and then attack in waves.

"As usual, they accumulate at their points and then try to conduct assault operations. Their total number is about 20 soldiers. They attack at different intervals, so to speak, in waves. Once the first wave is gone, the second wave starts. If the first wave does not reach its destination, another group is launched to continue the assault," the defender said.

The weather conditions have not particularly affected the course of the fighting, he says.

"We have rainy weather now. Sometimes it gets down to -1...-2 at night, but in the morning everything melts, now there is more mud on the positions, so the enemy is basically doing everything on foot or on motorcycles," said Ihor Shafigulin.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 227 combat engagements took place at the frontline in Ukraine over the past day. The enemy made 26 attacks in the Vremivsk sector, while no offensives were recorded in the Huliaipil and Orikhiv sectors.
