"We see everything": Oleshchuk shows how air defense forces destroyed Shaheds on September 26
On the night of September 26, Ukrainian defenders shot down 26 enemy Shahed kamikaze drones. Most of them were neutralized in the south of the country.
The work of air defense was once again shown to Ukrainians on video. It was posted by the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, on his Telegram channel (to view it, scroll to the end).
The footage shows the combat work of the Ukrainian Air Force units against Russian attack UAVs, of which the occupiers launched 38 of them in Ukraine on Tuesday night. In particular, the "Shahed" flew from the territory of the Russian Federation and the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The drone attack lasted for two hours: the enemy terrorized the Danube region of Odesa Oblast (there were hits on port and border infrastructure, and the moment of arrival on the Danube ferry crossing was filmed from Romania).
In addition, the occupiers sent kamikaze drones to Mykolaiv, Kherson, and central Ukraine.
Air defense units belonging to the Southern Defense Forces shot down 22 enemy UAVs: ten in Odesa, six in Mykolaiv, and three each in Kherson and Kirovohrad. The remaining four were in Cherkasy region. Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups were operating along the route of the "Shahed".
"We see everything and we are not tired of destroying you! Together - to victory," said Oleshchuk.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day, September 25, the defenders neutralized 40 Russian air targets. These were cruise missiles and operational and tactical drones.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Oleshchuk published a video of how air defense forces shot down Russian missiles during an attack on Odesa region on September 17. Ukrainians were also shown the work of air defense against drones and missiles at night and the next morning, when 41 enemy targets were shot down.
