On the night of October 18, the Russian terrorist army hit a five-story residential building in the center of Zaporizhzhia. Eyewitnesses described the first minutes after the attack.

Thus, according to one of the residents of the damaged entrance, a Russian missile hit the neighboring apartment where a young couple lived. Rescuers are currently searching for them under the rubble. This was reported by Suspilne Zaporizhzhia.

It is currently known that two people were killed in the attack, three people were injured, and three more are missing.

A local said he woke up after a Russian missile hit his house.

"I woke up from the impact and my wife's scream: her legs were in the glass. I shook her off and then saw that I had wounds on my arms," the resident said.

Another resident of the damaged building reports that they first heard the first not-very loud explosion and went to the corridor where they were staying. A second very loud explosion followed, after which her family ran for cover.

"Then we heard a very loud sound and everything shook. We heard windows flying out. We were scared. We ran out into the yard in our pajamas and ran through the rubble to the basement, where we were sheltering. We sat there for the first time," the woman says.

Oleksiy Klymenko, a resident of the affected building, says that when he heard the explosion, he and his wife went out into the corridor and stood there. After the second explosion, when it hit the building, their apartment's frames, balconies, entrance and interior doors were smashed, and furniture was knocked over.

"We were hysterical and in shock. We started cleaning up. I went down to the yard, and my wife cleaned up. Somehow we closed the windows in the apartment. We went out into the yard and were told to get ready. We took the most necessary things," Oleksiy says.

As a reminder, the occupation forces of the aggressor country Russia launched six missile attacks on the territory of Zaporizhzhia on Wednesday night, October 18. One of them hit a multi-story building in the city center, with residents trapped under the rubble.
