War in Ukraine should end within internationally recognized borders, - Bulgarian Prime Minister

Bulgaria says the war should end within Ukraine's internationally recognized borders

As Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said in Berlin at a briefing with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on October 4, the world must do everything to ensure that a just and sustainable peace comes to Ukraine. His words were quoted by the Ukrinform news agency.

Denkov emphasized that before peace can come to Ukraine, the country must first be provided with the means to protect itself from attacks by the Russian occupation army.

He noted that Bulgaria, like other countries, is facing Russian propaganda. It offers people supposedly simple solutions, but they are false. He called on governments of all countries to explain to their citizens that the right decisions are mostly not easy. They always require hard work on the part of politicians and people.

Scholz, for his part, thanked Bulgaria and its authorities for their clear position on Russia's aggression, as well as for their role in creating "corridors of solidarity" for the transportation of Ukrainian grain.

Earlier it became known that Bulgaria joined the EU countries that have banned the entry of cars with Russian license plates. At the same time, it became the first non-Schengen country to support this recommendation of the European Commission.

In addition, Sofia refused to buy Russian oil. A decision was made to gradually stop importing oil from Russia. Thus, it is planned to reduce purchases by 80% by the end of the year.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Bulgaria will give Ukraine faulty missiles for the S-300 air defense system and ammunition. The initiative was put forward by local deputies.
