Urshalovych: Offensive Guard units advanced deep into the defense of the occupants in the south

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue counteroffensive actions in the south, particularly in the Melitopol direction. Offensive Guard soldiers are pushing out the occupiers and consolidating their positions.
The statement was made by Mykola Urshalovych, acting director of the deployment planning department of the Main Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine. The colonel spoke about this at a briefing at the Military Media Center on Thursday, September 21.
He said that the Offensive Guard units have advanced deep into the defense of the Russian Armed Forces in the southern section of the frontline.
Offensive Guard brigades are conducting operations in the direction of Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia even in the face of strong enemy resistance.
"Despite dense mining and engineering equipment, as well as strong resistance from the occupiers, our units have had partial success, advancing both into the depths of the enemy's defense and along the front," a National Guard spokesman said.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the offensive in the Melitopol sector continues in a report published on the morning of September 21. The Russian occupants launched a counterattack in the area of Robotyne, but the Defense Forces repelled it.
"The invaders suffered significant losses in both manpower and equipment," the report says.
