Up to 23 people could have beenin the hotel in Cherkasy, which was hit by the enemy during a massive missile attack on the night of September 21. There are victims, at least seven civilians.
This was announced during a telethon by the head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration, Ihor Taburets. As of 8:30 a.m., it was reported that several people could be under the rubble (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).
The administrator is in the hospital. Among the victims, one man is in serious condition, he suffered serious injuries to his spine and head. Other victims, according to doctors, have minor injuries.
According to Taburets, the explosion was strong, windows in neighboring houses were smashed and balconies were damaged.
It is known that as a result of the enemy attack in the city, a hotel building was damaged, a fire broke out, and trade pavilions in the market caught fire.
A total of 83 rescuers and 16 vehicles were deployed at the scene. One person was rescued from the rubble. The fire was localized as of 06:56 on an area of 750 square meters.
