Unprecedented operation: Interior Ministry showed the work of "white angels" and rescuers in Avdiivka under fire. Video

Police learned about the tragedy this afternoon

The White Angel police evacuation team in Avdiivka, together with rescuers, evacuated the bodies of two people who died as a result of a Russian strike on a nine-story building under fire. It was an unprecedented operation under fire.

This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko. He also posted a video.

According to the minister, on Thursday, November 9, late in the evening, a 63-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman were killed in a Russian air strike on a nine-story building.

Police learned about the tragedy this afternoon and immediately went to the site of the strike. However, they were unable to get the victims out at first because the building's slabs were hanging by a thread. It was impossible to unblock the bodies without special equipment.

Risking their own lives, the "white angels" and rescuers did the incredible: they removed the bodies of both victims using only improvised means.

It is noted that they had to dismantle the rubble with their bare hands and drag the victims on their backs. At the same time, explosions were heard around as the occupiers were heavily shelling Avdiivka.

"The bodies of the man and woman were taken out and delivered to the morgue. Now their relatives will be able to bury them," the minister said, adding that Russia's war crime has been documented by law enforcement.

Earlier, it was reported that Russia started using more infantry in its attacks on Avdiivka. This is due to both unfavorable weather conditions for the use of heavy equipment and the losses of "armor" that Russia has already suffered. Therefore, the occupation command has taken to protect the equipment but not the personnel, whose losses do not particularly bother Moscow.

It was also reported that the Russians regrouped and brought additional forces to the Avdiivka direction. Now the occupiers are preparing the third wave of the offensive on Avdiivka: they are waiting for the soil to dry up after the rains.
