Ukrainian marines destroy two mechanized infantry groups in enemy's failed assault in Pokrovsk sector. Video

Ukrainian soldiers from the 37th Marine Brigade thwarted a Russian assault in the Pokrovsk direction. The occupiers were destroyed in preparation for the attack together with their equipment.

Enemy armored vehicles and personnel were eliminated at various Russian positions from which they planned to launch an attack. The video of the combat work was published on the Facebook page of the Brigade.

"Our aerial reconnaissance units recorded the movement of several enemy mechanized infantry groups the other day. Both were moving towards their defensive positions, from where the enemy is usually lining up and launching assault operations. Despite the minefields and the work of FPV drone operators, two IFVs managed to reach the target and deliver their infantry to different positions. However, thanks to the coordinated work of the many units of the 37th Marine Brigade, both enemy groups were eliminated together with their equipment, and the assault itself ended right before it even began," the Brigade noted.

The video captures the entire process. At first, Ukrainian drones followed one of the Russian infantry fighting vehicles, which hit a mine but still managed to get to a position and deliver soldiers there. However, it did not bring any tangible results: the marines began to effectively shell the invaders.

Then two more Russian IFVs appeared, moving further too. Grilles and armor partially protected the vehicles from minefields, FPV drones, and UAV drops, but one was eventually stopped. The other one reached the target. Soldiers then tried to leave the vehicle but it was right when the Ukrainians continued shelling, so the invaders rushed to cover.

The marines used artillery's cluster munitions to fire at the Russian positions and FPV drones to attack the enemy dugout.

In the end, a potential assault was prevented: there was no one to attack at all.

As a reminder, the day before, the Russian invaders' losses amounted to 1,180 people per day. Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed 11 tanks, 17 armored fighting vehicles, 59 artillery systems, one MLRS, one air defense system, 117 tactical UAVs, 127 vehicles and 2 special vehicles.
