Ukrainian defence forces advance at Berdiansk and Melitopol directions, strike at enemy's command post - General Staff

As of 27 July, the Defence Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk sectors. Our soldiers are consolidating their positions at the achieved lines, inflicting artillery fire on the identified enemy targets, and carrying out counter-battery measures.

This was reported in the General Staff's daily summary on Facebook. Ukrainian aviation carried out six strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment, one on anti-aircraft missile systems and one on the enemy control centre.

"Missile and artillery units hit one control centre, one area of concentration of personnel, five artillery pieces at firing positions, one fuel and lubricants depot and one enemy electronic warfare station during the day," the Armed Forces stressed.

However, the enemy is trying to resist with all its might. Not only is there still a danger of missile attacks throughout our country, but frontline soldiers and civilians are also under direct fire:

• in the Kupyansk sector, the enemy launched an air strike near Iziumske in Kharkiv region. Artillery and mortar attacks by the enemy took place in the areas of Fygolivka, Dvorichna, Zakhidne and Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region;

• in the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Nadiya, Luhansk region. He conducted an air strike near Bilohorivka, Luhansk region. The settlements of Nevske and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Spyrne, Berestove, Torske and Verkhnekamyane in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire;in the Bakhmut sector, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the area south of Kleshchiyivka. The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Kurdyumivka, Bila Gora and New York in Donetsk region. More than 10 localities suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Toretsk and Zalizne in Donetsk Oblast;
• in the Bakhmut sector, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the area south of Kleshchiyivka. The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Kurdyumivka, Bila Hora and New York in Donetsk region. More than 10 localities suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Toretsk, Zalizne in Donetsk region;

• in the Avdiivka sector, under heavy fire from enemy aircraft and artillery, our defenders successfully repelled attacks by Russian troops near Avdiivka. More than 15 localities came under artillery fire, including Berdychi, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske and Karlivka in Donetsk region;
• in the Maryinka sector, the defence forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops near the town of Maryinka. The enemy fired at more than 10 localities, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Kurakhivka, Peremoha, Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region;
• in the Shakhtarsk sector, the enemy conducted an air strike near Staromayorsk, Donetsk region. He fired at the localities of Vodiane, Vuhledar and Blahodatne;
• in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing further advance of our troops. Over 15 localities came under artillery fire, including: Levadne, Gulyaypole, Charivne, Bilohirya and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia region; Nikopol in Dnipropetrovs'k region; Zmiivka, Lviv, Tokarivka, Antonivka and Dniprovske in Kherson region.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defence Hanna Maliar stressed that the Ukrainian forces are gradually advancing in the Bakhmut sector, in particular south of Bakhmut. Fighting continues in the area of Klishchiyivka, Kurdyumivka and Andriivka, which is quite fierce.
