Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled Russian attacks in five sectors: 25 combat engagements took place - General Staff

During the day, on 11 August, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had to engage in 25 direct clashes with the enemy. The Russian occupiers tried to break through in five directions, but were unsuccessful and suffered losses.

This is stated in the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10 August 2023. Meanwhile, the Armed Forces continue to advance in the south of our country.

The situation has not changed in the Volyn and Polissya directions.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the occupiers fired mortar and artillery shells at more than 20 settlements, including Kliusy in Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Vodologi, Loknya in Sumy region and Odnorobivka, Udy in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk sector, the occupiers tried to advance in the area of Synkivka and Ivanivka in Kharkiv region. The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Kyslivka and Pervomaiske in the Kharkiv region. In addition, more than 15 settlements, including Kupyansk, Kurylivka, Kyslivka, Kotlyarivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne in the Kharkiv region, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman sector, Russian occupants conducted air strikes near Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Vesele, Zaliznyanske and Klishchiyivka in Donetsk region. More than 25 localities were also shelled by the enemy, including Nevske, Dibrova, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Zarichne, Yampil, Serebryanka in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Bohdanivka, Klishchiyivka and Bila Hora in the Donetsk region. At the same time, more than 20 localities suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, Diliyivka and Druzhba in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled attacks near Avdiivka in Donetsk region. However, more than 10 localities came under artillery fire, including Oleksandropil, Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka and Siverene in Donetsk region.

In the Maryinka sector, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive near the town of Maryinka in Donetsk region. At the same time, the occupants attacked Krasnohorivka, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region from the air. More than 10 settlements came under artillery fire, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Maksymilianivka, Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka and Elizavetivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarsk sector, the occupiers tried unsuccessfully to regain their lost ground near Urozhayne in Donetsk Oblast. The enemy also conducted an air strike in the area of Staromayorsk, Donetsk region. Vodiane, Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenk, Prechystivka, Zolota Niva and Blahodatne in Donetsk Oblast came under artillery fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the invaders attacked the areas of Novodanilivka and Orikhove from the air. More than 20 settlements also came under artillery fire, including Zaliznychne, Gulyaypilske, Bilohirya, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaki, Stepove in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson sector, the occupiers shelled more than 25 localities with artillery, including Beryslav, Tokarivka, Antonivka, Komyshany, Kyzomys in Kherson region and the city of Kherson; Kutsurub, Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region.

At the same time, Ukrainian defenders continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions. Our defenders are consolidating their positions and taking counter-battery measures.

Over the last day, the aviation of the Defence Forces carried out 1 strike on the area of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment. Also, our defenders destroyed 4 reconnaissance UAVs of operational and tactical level.

In addition, missile and artillery units destroyed 1 enemy surface-to-air missile system "Arrow" over the course of the day.

As a reminder, the Pentagon has assessed the tactics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive in the war against the aggressor country of Russia. They called it a miracle that Ukrainian defenders were able to drive the occupiers into defence, "given the state of the Ukrainian army at the time of the invasion".

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, on 10 August, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continued counter-offensive actions in at least three frontline areas and advanced in the south near the borders of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. At the same time, bloggers in the Russian Federation accused the occupiers of fabricating statements about the destruction of Ukrainian equipment at the front.
