Ukrainian Armed Forces succeed on the frontlines: enemy suffers heavy losses and cases of desertion become more frequent - General Staff

Ukrainian defenders repelled all attacks by the Russian occupiers

The Ukrainian Defence Forces are conducting successful operations in various frontline areas. Over the past 24 hours, there were 23 combat clashes between the defenders and the troops of the aggressor state.

This is stated in the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook on June 12. It is noted that due to the successes of the Ukrainian army and significant enemy losses in manpower, there have been more cases of desertion in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region in the Storm-Z assault units of the Russian occupation forces, which are increasingly leaving their combat positions without permission.

In addition, according to the General Staff, about 25 Russian occupiers in Mariupol and Novoazovsk deserted due to the unofficial termination of the leave promised to the occupiers by the Russian military leadership.

Meanwhile, in the flooded Hola Prystan in the Kherson region, the invaders evacuate Ukrainian citizens only after receiving a bribe. At the same time, they destroy passports, birth certificates and other Ukrainian documents. Local residents are relocated to the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea and Krasnodar in the Russian Federation.

Russia's losses in the war

Over the past day, the defence forces' aviation carried out 8 strikes on the areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. Our defenders also destroyed an enemy Ka-52 helicopter and an Orlan-10 tactical UAV.

During the day, our missile and artillery units hit 3 control points, 2 anti-aircraft missile systems, an area where enemy personnel were concentrated and 3 of their artillery units at firing positions.

Russian attacks

During the day, the enemy launched 2 missile strikes with sea-launched Kalibr cruise missiles at residential buildings in the Kharkiv region. In total, the occupiers carried out 17 air strikes and fired about 22 MLRS attacks.

As a result of the attacks, civilian infrastructure was damaged. In particular, the shelling of Bilopillia in Sumy region and Shevchenkivske in Kharkiv region destroyed private houses and other civilian infrastructure.

Russian terrorists also dropped 3 guided aerial bombs on the town of Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region, killing one civilian and destroying private houses.

On the Siversky and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy fired mortar and artillery shells at the settlements of Tymonovychi and Khotiyivka in Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Sopych, Zarutske, Gorky in Sumy region; and Ivashky, Vetarine, Vysoka Yaruga, Strelka, Morozivets, Ogurtsove, Hatyshche, Budarky in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of Milove and Kyslivka in Kharkiv region and Novoselivske in Luhansk region. Dvorichna, Masiutivka, Lyman Pervyi, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Berestove in Kharkiv region and Novoselivske in Luhansk region came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Vesele over the last day. It carried out air strikes on Yampil, Spyrne and Vesele in Donetsk region. Nevske and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Yampolivka, Torske, Dibrova, Verkhnekamyane, Spirne and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut sector, the enemy launched an air strike near Bila Hora in the Donetsk region. Vasyukivka, Blahodatne, Novomarkove, Kalynivka Ivanivske, Bila Gora, Druzhba, Toretsk, Pivdennyi, Sukha Balka in the Donetsk region suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy conducted offensive operations in the direction of Avdiivka, but was unsuccessful. He carried out air strikes in the areas of Avdiivka and Northern Donetsk region. It fired artillery at the areas of Keramik, Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Pivnichne, Vodiane, Pervomayske, Netaylove, Karlivka, Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Maryinka sector, our defenders repelled all 14 enemy attacks in the area of Maryinka. The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Staromykhailivka and Krasnohorivka. The occupants also fired artillery at Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Heorhiivka, Maksymilianivka, Peremoha and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.

 

In the Shakhtarsk sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the direction of Blahodatne. He carried out air strikes near the settlements of Zolota Niva, Shakhterske, Velyka Novosilka, Voremiyivka and Blahodatne in the Donetsk region. It shelled Epiphany, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Niva and Velyka Novosilka.

The enemy continues to conduct defensive actions in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson sectors. He fired artillery at localities. These include Vremivka, Zelene Pole, Novopillia in the Donetsk region; Levadne, Malynivka, Gulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Gulyaypolske, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Zherebianky, Lobkove, Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region; Novoberislav, Vesele, Kozatske, Chornobaivka, Dniprovske, Burshtynove, Beregove, Kyzomys in the Kherson region and Kherson.
