Ukrainian Armed Forces stop occupants in the Siverskyi sector, fighting continues near Vovchansk in Kharkiv region - General Staff

The Russian terrorist army continues to attack in different directions in an attempt to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops. The most active fighting continues in the Pokrovske sector.

A total of 114 combat engagements were registered yesterday. This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of August 11.

Over the course of the day, the enemy launched one missile attack and 73 air strikes, using 106 guided aerial bombs, at the positions of Ukrainian units and localities. In addition, the enemy made 4928 attacks, including 153 from multiple launch rocket systems.

The areas of Bytytsia, Basivka, Velyka Rybytsia, Kozacha Lopan, Serhiivka, Siversk, Pereizne, Druzhba, Toretsk, Oleksandropil, Hrodivka, Myrnohrad, Novodonetske, Neskuchne, Pyatikhatky, Novoandriivka and Bilohirya were hit by air strikes.

In turn, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces conducted 21 strikes on enemy manpower concentrations, five on enemy artillery and missile assets, and two on electronic warfare stations.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy continued assault operations. There were six combat engagements in the area of Vovchansk.

The number of attacks in the Kupyansk sector reached ten overnight. Defense forces repelled all enemy assaults near Sinkivka, Berestove, Hlushkivka and Stelmakhivka.

In the Liman sector, our troops repelled 17 occupants' attacks in the vicinity of Nevske, Makiivka, Terny, and in the Serebryansky forest.

In the Siverskyi sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped seven assault actions near Bilohorivka, Spirne and Vyimka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, our troops stopped 11 enemy attempts to break through the defense in the areas of Bila Hora, Ivanivske and Chasovyi Yar. More than 80 percent of all combat engagements took place near the latter.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out ten attacks near the localities of Pivnichne, Zalizne, Druzhba, Nyzhyk and Toretsk. The enemy conducted nine air strikes on Toretsk and the surrounding areas over the day.

In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders repelled 38 enemy assaults. Most of them took place in the areas of Zhelanne, Hrodivka and Vozdvyzhenka - ten, eight and five respectively.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, Karlivka and Kostiantynivka, where the occupants tried to break through the defense of our troops nine times.

In the Vremivsk sector, the aggressor attacked Ukrainian positions three times, near Vodiane, Staromykhailivka and Kermenchyk.

In the Orikhivsk sector, one firefight took place near Novodanylivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, two Russian attacks were unsuccessful.

The situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors remained unchanged. There are no signs of enemy offensive groups forming.

At the same time, our soldiers continue to inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the enemy along the entire front line and in the rear. In total, Ukrainian troops neutralized over 1220 Russian invaders yesterday. The enemy also lost six tanks, 13 armored combat vehicles, 58 artillery systems, one helicopter, 27 tactical UAVs, 71 vehicles and 11 pieces of special equipment.

In the morning of August 11, the Russian terrorist army shelled Kramatorsk in Donetsk region. Civilians were injured in the attack.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, a man and a child were killed in Brovary district of Kyiv region as a result of a Russian missile attack on the night of August 11. The debris of a downed enemy missile fell on residential buildings, and people were trapped under the rubble.
