On September 29, 33 combat engagements took place at the frontline in Ukraine. Our country's defense forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol sector and offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut sector.

Our soldiers are inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the "second army of the world" and are depleting the enemy along the entire front line. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a summary as of 18:00 on Friday, September 29 (583rd day of full-scale war).

According to estimates, Russian troops launched five missile and 38 air strikes over the past day, firing 19 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of the Defense Forces and populated areas. There were civilian casualties, as well as the destruction of residential buildings and other infrastructure.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

There are no significant changes in the Volhynia and Polesia sectors. There are no signs of offensive groups forming. Some units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

On the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, continues shelling our country from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the border. More than 25 Ukrainian settlements have come under artillery and mortar fire. Among them are Buchky in Chernihiv region; Volfine, Yastrubyne, Kindrativka, Volodymyrivka, Bilovody, Stepok, Novodmitrivka in Sumy region; Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, Vovchansk, Budarky, Topoly in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk direction, the occupation forces carried out air strikes in the areas of Komisarove, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Pishchane, Senkove in the Kharkiv region. The invaders used artillery and mortars to attack Sinkivka, Tabaivka, Berestove in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy launched air strikes near Kopanky, Kharkiv region; Nevske, Luhansk region; Spirne, Serebrianka, Donetsk region. Artillery and mortar shelling hit more than 10 localities, including Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Torske, Hryhorivka, Vyimka, Vesele, Pryvillia in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut sector, the Russian Federation Armed Forces tried unsuccessfully to regain their lost position in the vicinity of Klishchiivka. The occupants carried out an air strike near Bohdanivka. More than 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Vasiukivka, Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, and Zalizne in the Donetsk region. The density of minefields is increasing.

In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy tried unsuccessfully to regain the lost ground in the area of Avdiivka. Our defenders repelled an attack by Russian invaders south of Tonenke village. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Stepove, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Severne, Pervomayske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled more than 10 attacks by the Russian Armed Forces in the vicinity of Marinka over the last day. Our defenders also successfully repelled the enemy near Novomykhailivka. The enemy launched air strikes near Krasnohorivka and Marinka. The occupants opened fire from artillery and mortars at such localities as Oleksandropil, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarsk sector, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled an enemy attack west of Staromaiorske. Russian criminals launched air strikes in the areas of Vuhledar, Velyka Novosilka, Urozhaine and Staromaiorske. Artillery and mortar attacks were registered in the vicinity of 10 settlements. Among them are Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, Staromaiorske, and Rivne in Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to regain lost ground in the areas of Robotyne and Verbove villages. Enemy air strikes took place near Novodarivka, Robotyne, Novodanylivka, and Orikhove. More than 25 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Levadne, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia region and Nikopol in Dnipropetrovs'k region.

In the Kherson sector, the Russian army conducted an air strike near Olhivka. More than 15 localities came under enemy artillery and mortar attacks, including Havrylivka, Respublikanets, Mykolaivka, Antonivka, Kizomys in Kherson region and Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region.

During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 11 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, two strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

Units of our missile troops hit an area of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, an anti-aircraft missile system, 13 artillery pieces and an occupier's electronic warfare station.
