Ukrainian Armed Forces hit Russian UAV control center in Zaporizhzhia: the General Staff provided details

On February 26, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the control center of the enemy UAVs of the 503rd motorized rifle regiment of the 19th motorized rifle division of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation. The target was located in the village of Nesterianka in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region.

This operation was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 27. The press service reported that the attack was successful.

This military facility was used by the enemy to control, store, and maintain UAVs.

"The brave pilots of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue to destroy the occupiers' troops until the Russian Federation stops its armed aggression against the people of Ukraine. To be continued. Glory to Ukraine!" the General Staff wrote.

According to the DeepState map, Nesterianka is located almost on the front line. As of June 2024, according to Mykola Vinichenko, head of the Orikhiv City Military Administration, the settlement was 70% destroyed.

Before the occupation, the village was home to about 1500 people, and last summer – only 70.

"The aggressor country does not provide humanitarian aid there. People take water from wells, nothing is brought there. Residents live mostly in the private sector, in basements. They have not had electricity since 2022. There is no water supply either," Vinichenko told "Novyny Pryazovia".

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, on February 25, the Armed Forces successfully destroyed the occupiers' command and control point near the village of Kopani in Zaporizhzhia. The Russians used the facility to control unmanned aerial vehicles.
