Ukrainian Armed Forces clarify the results of a strike on a Russian army command post in Kursk region: many officers killed

The Armed Forces provided updated information on the hit on the Russian army command center in Lgov, Kursk region of the Russian Federation. It is noted that the missile strike killed 17 occupants from the 810th Marine Brigade of the Russian Federation and probably killed their deputy commander.

This was reported by the StratCom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram. Most of the killed soldiers are staff officers.

"As reported, on December 25, 2024, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the command post of the 810th Separate Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces in the village of Lgov, Kursk region. According to updated information, the building housing the command post of the 810th Brigade was partially destroyed. The strike probably killed the deputy brigade commander and 17 other Russian servicemen, most of whom were staff officers," the statement said.

As a reminder, on the morning of December 25, the Armed Forces launched a missile attack on the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. As a result, the building of a sugar factory in the village of Lgov was attacked, where Russian troops were stationed. The occupiers themselves complained about the strike on the control center of the 810th Russian Marine Brigade with "grave consequences."

Later, the StratCom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the hit on the command post of the 810th Separate Marine Brigade of the Russian Navy, which the enemy had placed in an abandoned building. Our military noted that the strike on the military target in Lgov is part of a comprehensive campaign to weaken the ability of the Russian Armed Forces to coordinate military operations against Ukraine.

Later, the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the elimination of the deputy commander of the 810th Marine Brigade of the Russian Federation, Salim Mukharbetovich Pashtov. This information was also confirmed by the sister of the deceased in the brigade's "VKontakte" group.
