Ukrainian Armed Forces block occupants in Krasnohorivka in Donbas - Khortytsia OSG

Russian occupation forces broke through to the territory of a refractory plant in Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region. The enemy was blocked there by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

This was reported by Lieutenant Colonel Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops, on Army TV on May 8. He noted that the occupants entered the town in small assault groups.

"The enemy is entrenched on the territory of the refractory plant. The enemy was blocked by the efforts of our units, in particular the 59th Brigade, and is still there," said Voloshyn.

The enemy army groups are cut off from the supply of ammunition, he added.

Meanwhile, our Defense Forces fully control both Krasnohorivka and the outskirts of the town. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders killed about 30 occupants on the approaches to the town.

Voloshyn also said that the enemy is conducting assaults near Netaylove and is trying to storm the eastern part of Pervomaiske. "They are also coming in small groups near Nevelske, counterattacking, and our soldiers are repelling them," the spokesman added.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, fierce fighting between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and the Russian occupiers is taking place in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions in Donetsk region. The enemy has deployed four additional brigades to these frontline areas.
