Ukrainian Armed Forces are thwarting Russia's offensive plans: General Staff explains what's happening at the front line

On Friday, September 6, 165 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian occupation forces took place at all sectors of the frontline. The situation in the Pokrovsk sector remained the most tense, and the enemy was also active in the Kurakhove and Kupiansk sectors.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00. It was noted that during the day, the enemy launched six missiles, 61 UAVs, and 472 kamikaze drones on Ukraine.

In total, the enemy fired at the positions of our troops and populated areas using various types of weapons 2776 times.

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian terrorists stormed the positions of Ukrainian troops four times in the areas of Lyptsi and Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked our fortifications near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Andriivka, Berestove and Stelmakhivka 24 times. At the moment, fighting continues in six locations.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops stormed Ukrainian positions 17 times in the areas of Novoiehorivka, Druzheliubivka, Cherneshchyna, Terny, Torske, Dibrova and Makiivka. One enemy attack is still ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, our troops stopped five enemy attempts to improve the tactical situation near Verkhniokamianske and Spirne. The occupants suffered losses. Another battle near Spirne is ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, three attempts by the invaders to advance near Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar and Andriivka failed.

In the Toretsk sector, the occupants attacked in the areas of Toretsk and Nelipivka nine times over the last day. Enemy attack and bombing aircraft were active. Fighting continues in two locations - the enemy is putting pressure trying to advance in the area of Sukha Balka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy is intensively attacking Ukrainian troops. The enemy made 45 assault and offensive attacks. Russian occupants are most active in the areas of Novohrodivka, Hrodivka and Mykhailivka. Nine combat engagements in the sector are still ongoing.

According to preliminary estimates, since the beginning of the day our troops have eliminated 92 occupants and wounded 195. A tank, a cannon and six vehicles were destroyed. Nine enemy vehicles and an artillery system were also damaged.

The situation in the Kurakhove sector is also complicated, with 41 combat engagements registered there. Terrorists tried to advance in the vicinity of Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka and Heorhiivka, and nine engagements are currently underway.

In the Vremivsk sector, the aggressor stormed the front line of our defense in the direction of Vodiane and Staromaiorske eight times today. The battle continues.

Nine enemy attacks were repelled in the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy was not successful.

There were no significant changes in the situation in other sectors. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are also conducting an operation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.

As reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the Russian occupation forces slowed down the fighting in the Pokrovsk area. Currently, the invaders have begun preparations for defensive measures there.
