Ukrainian Air Force shows impressive footage of shooting down Russian Shahed drones in the east. Video
On the night of February 8, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled another large-scale enemy drone attack. Russia launched more than a hundred kamikaze drones at our country.
In particular, a number of them were shot down over the eastern regions of Ukraine. The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed how mobile fire groups destroy the targets.
"Combat work in the area of responsibility of the Air Command East on the night of February 8, 2025," the statement said.
The video released by the Air Force shows an impressive air battle, during which they destroyed several UAVs. It were mainly soldiers of mobile fire groups that shot them down with machine guns.
The area of responsibility of Air Command East includes Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, parts of Zaporizhzhia, Kropyvnytskyi, Poltava and Sumy regions.
As a reminder, Russia targeted Ukraine with 139 drones overnight. During the attack, air defense forces destroyed 67 enemy drones, and another 71 drones were locationally lost. However, damage was reported in Sumy, Poltava, Dnipro, and Kyiv regions.
