"Ukraine will pass this test": Scholz assures of support for Kyiv and talks about prospects for cooperation

Chancellor thanks Ukrainian refugees in Germany

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz assured that Germany would continue to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. He also promised that Berlin would help Ukrainians defend themselves against Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.

Scholz made these statements while speaking at the sixth German-Ukrainian Economic Forum on October 24. "We will continue to support Ukraine - financially, humanitarian and with all our might," the chancellor said.

He added that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin "attacked Ukraine because he was blinded by the illusory possibility of a quick victory".

"We have no doubt that Ukraine will pass this test," Scholz said.

In addition, he noted that this year Russia will again try to attack Ukraine's energy infrastructure, and promised that Germany will help Ukrainians defend themselves.

According to Scholz, Ukraine "has a serious forecast of economic growth for 2024," and Berlin will also help.

"Ukraine has potential in energy and other areas. We will be able to introduce our own program of German entrepreneurship for cooperation with Ukraine. There are good prospects for private enterprise," the German Chancellor announced.

Scholz also said that Germany feels a connection with Ukraine "that has not been there before".

"We want to thank those Ukrainians who are staying with us, we feel a connection with them that has not been there before. Ukraine can rely on Germany".

As reported by OBOZ.UA, earlier Scholz spoke about mass deportation from Germany. According to him, everyone who has no right to stay there should leave.
