Denmark has authorized Ukraine to use the weapons it has transferred to it on the territory of the aggressor country Russia. Despite the operation of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region, Copenhagen's support for Kyiv will remain unchanged.

This was stated by Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, commenting on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive in the Kursk region. His words are quoted by DR.

"Defending yourself may well include invading the aggressor's territory. If, as part of this, you attack the infrastructure or military facilities of the attacking party, this is fully in line with the rules of war," the Danish Foreign Minister said.

At the same time, Rasmussen emphasized that Ukraine's use of weapons provided by Denmark on Russian soil also does not contradict the rules.

"It is impossible to set a restriction according to which weapons can only be used on the territory of Ukraine," he said.

Earlier, all Danish government parties supported Ukraine's decision to launch an offensive in the Kursk region of Russia. Danish politicians also have nothing against the fact that the weapons transferred by their country to Kyiv can be used in this operation.

In May, the Danish government said that Ukrainian troops would be able to use Danish F-16 fighter jets to strike at Russian territory. This position was approved by the Danish Parliament.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Denmark has allocated a new aid package to Ukraine, which became the twentieth since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia. The total cost of the package is approximately 783 million Danish kroner or almost 116 million dollars. The peculiarity of this package is that it includes financial contributions for the purchase of weapons, including Ukrainian-made ones.

Denmark has also financed the production of the "Bohdan" self-propelled artillery system for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The first units of this equipment will arrive in our country in the coming months.
