Ukraine intensifies attacks on enemy military and logistics facilities, Ukrainian Armed Forces make progress in Kherson region - ISW
Military experts emphasize the intensification of Ukrainian attacks on Russian military, logistics and other important facilities. These include attacks on enemy rear areas in the temporarily occupied territory and in Russia itself.
This is stated in the report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). It also noted the successes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the left bank of the Kherson region.
Attacks on the occupiers' rear
The day before, the Main Military Directorate Intelligence of Ukraine confirmed an operation in the temporarily seized Melitopol in Zaporizhzhia. In particular, on November 11, Ukrainian guerrillas attacked the headquarters of the Russian Armed Forces in the city, where at least three FSB and Russian Guard officers were killed as a result of the "bavovna".
ISW noted that the statement by the Main Directorate of Intelligence followed other similar news. Namely, about the guerrillas' attack on the former head of the "LPR People's Militia" on November 8; strikes on the Russian military base in the temporarily occupied Skadovsk in Kherson region and the Russian Black Sea Fleet facilities in Crimea on November 9; three rear-guard strikes and guerrilla attacks in Russia on November 11.
"Since the summer of 2023, Ukrainian forces have been conducting a strike campaign specifically targeting the temporarily occupied Crimea," the analysts emphasized.
Successes of the Armed Forces on the left bank of the Kherson region
It is noted that against the backdrop of continuing ground operations, the Defense Forces made little progress on the eastern (left) bank of the Kherson region on November 12. In particular, the soldiers moved further to Krynky (30 km northeast of Kherson and 2 km from the Dnipro River).
Russian bloggers complained that their troops were unsuccessfully trying to push Ukrainian forces back from Krynky, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces were also conducting offensive operations in the area of Poima, Pishchanivka, and Pidstepove.
The propagandists claimed that Ukrainian forces had deployed additional personnel to the area of Krynky village and intended to cut off the enemy's logistical routes, as well as the strike infrastructure connecting the Russian front line to rear areas in the temporarily occupied Crimea, parts of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
One blogger stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were advancing to the E58 Oleshky-Kamyanka highway and expressed concern that Ukrainians could threaten Russian positions near the E58-E97 intersection south of the Poima-Pishchanivka-Pidstepove line.
Ukrainian military observer Kostyantyn Mashovets reported that Russian forces had deployed a relatively small number of units to protect the Oleshky-Nova Kakhovka road and to respond to Ukrainian operations on the left bank, likely to preserve combat power within the broader Dnipro occupation force group.
As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, according to experts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operations on the left bank of the Kherson region have become a challenge for Russian troops. It is believed that it will be difficult for the occupation command to deploy combat-ready reinforcements to respond to these actions of Ukrainian forces.
