Trump: I told Zelenskyy we must end the war
Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States and a candidate for the 2024 presidential election, said that in a conversation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he spoke about the need to end this war. He justified his opinion by saying that Russia was a "military machine" that "defeated Napoleon and Hitler."
Trump made the statement in an interview with Fox News. "You are facing a military machine. This is what they do – they fight wars. They defeated Hitler (in fact, the victory was achieved by the joint efforts of the USSR, the UK, the US, and other countries – Ed.) They defeated Napoleon," the politician said.
He added that the "spring offensive never happened," and that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping are supposedly "strong guys, strong leaders."
"And I told (Zelenskyy – Ed.) that the Russians have millions of mines and thousands of army tanks. Many Russians were killed, but many Ukrainians were killed. This should not have happened. Biden should not have allowed this to happen," Trump said.
According to him, it was "easy for Biden to stop it."
Thus, according to Trump, Putin decided to attack Ukraine for two reasons: the rise in fuel prices – the Kremlin has money, and the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.
