Training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 has begun, - Reznikov

Training of pilots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on F-16 has begun

Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that training for Ukrainian pilots in the operation of F-16 fighter jets, announced for the end of August, has already begun in Denmark and the Netherlands. He did not disclose any details, but indicated that the training process includes learning English.

"A basic level of foreign languages is not enough for full-fledged piloting," the official said briefly. Reznikov's words were published by Channel 24.

The completion of the training process depends on a number of factors and it is impossible to give a timeframe. Western instructors will outline when our military will be fully trained and able to freely fly the fourth-generation American combat aircraft.

"It is important for us to know what weapons will be on the fighters. After all, without radars, the aircraft cannot see, and without machine guns, missiles and shells, it is not a weapon, but only a carrier. Therefore, when the partners decide which country is ready to transfer the aircraft and how many, they will seek the consent of the United States," Reznikov explained.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Reznikov confirmed that Washington had given Denmark and the Netherlands the green light to supply our country with modern F-16 fighters. The Defence Forces need these aircraft for a counter-offensive and the liberation of the territories captured by the Russians.
