Ukrainian Armed Forces hit a Russian transport helicopter near Lyman

On Wednesday, December 6, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed a Russian transport helicopter. The enemy suffered losses in the Lyman sector.

Relevant footage was published on the Telegram page of the Strategic Communications Department of the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The enemy helicopter was destroyed on the ground before it could take off.

The vehicle was hit by a HIMARS rocket artillery system, which was corrected by UAV pilots of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

"Congratulations on the occasion of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were 'received' by the personnel of a Russian transport helicopter near Lyman," the statement said.

According to the AFU StratCom sources, the invaders' helicopter was functionally destroyed.

In the evening report, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed that the missile units of the Defense Forces had destroyed one enemy helicopter.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Ukrainian soldiers shot down another Russian plane on December 5. A Russian Su-24M bomber was shot down near Zmeiny Island in the Black Sea.
