Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and spoke about the Russian-Ukrainian war. The politician said that Russia is "invincible" militarily and warned that further escalation would lead to irreparable consequences for all of humanity.

In addition, Tokayev praised the peace plan of China and Brazil, which played into the hands of the aggressor country Russia. This was reported by the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting with the head of the German government, Tokayev complained that a good chance to reach a truce was lost with the refusal to conclude the Istanbul agreement. He added that the opportunity for peace still exists.

"It is a fact that Russia is militarily invincible. Further escalation of the war will lead to irreparable consequences for all of humanity and, above all, for all countries directly involved in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Unfortunately, a good chance to achieve at least a truce was lost with the refusal to sign the Istanbul Agreement. But the opportunity for peace still exists," the Kazakh president said.

Tokayev said that it is necessary to carefully consider all peace initiatives of various states and come to a decision to stop hostilities. He added that only after the ceasefire should the discussion of territorial issues be moved.

The President of Kazakhstan praised his country's cooperation with Russia and added that Kazakhstan has genuine sympathy for the Ukrainian people. Moreover, the politician said that "neighboring nations should live in peace and mutual understanding."

"In our opinion, the peace plan of China and Brazil deserves support. Heads of state come and go, but nations, especially neighboring nations, should live in peace and mutual understanding. Kazakhstan shares the world's longest delimited land border with Russia, and our countries are developing cooperation within the framework of strategic partnership and alliance. Kazakhstan has a genuine sympathy for the Ukrainian people and their distinctive culture. There have never been any contradictions between our countries. Our country's embassy continues to operate in Kyiv," Tokayev said.
