Two occupants with a white flag surrendered to Ukrainian border guards from the "Revenge" brigade. They were stormtroopers of the 15th Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment and had been on the territory of Ukraine for about a month.
This was reported on the Telegram channel of the State Border Guard Service. One of the prisoners is from Makiivka, Donetsk region.
During the occupation in 2014, he lived in Crimea. The man was engaged in construction and, after a fraud with public procurement in the Russian Ministry of Defense, was given a choice: either 8 years in prison or participation in the war.
The second prisoner was mobilized in 2022 during a document check on a train. He was sent for training in Belarus, from where he escaped and was hiding for a year and a half. A month ago, he was detained again and sent to storm Ukrainian positions.
Both prisoners were handed over to the special services to replenish the exchange fund.
Earlier it was reported that the scouts of the Rubizh brigade replenished the exchange fund again. In Stelmakhivka, Luhansk region, they captured another Russian occupier: he was part of a small assault group that tried to attack Ukrainian positions.
At the same time, the Russians are not interested in the return of their own citizens held captive in Ukraine. Instead of conducting exchanges, they are increasingly executing Ukrainian soldiers who surrender. The day before, on September 6, CNN published previously unseen footage of the executions of unarmed Ukrainians. In particular, the journalists showed a serious war crime committed by Russians in the Pokrovske direction last week.
